AT&T Pioneer Volunteers
“Preparing for the Future”
the 2008 TelecomPioneers Annual Meeting in Austin, TX.
We were recognized with two (2) TelecomPioneers
International Project Excellence Awards: “A Step Beyond”,
a project that created a computer lab for the children of
St. Vincent De Paul in San Diego, as well as, “Project
Paragon”, a project that provided over 2,600 backpacks
and school supplies to underprivileged school children. “A
Step Beyond” was also a Telecom Challenge award
winner. We also met 5 Heart of Pioneering goals. Thanks
to all of our volunteers who made these wins possible.
Following through with this year’s theme, the De Anza
Chapter is once again supplying school supplies to children
in Backpacks for Your Future. We are also filling
knapsacks to be used in case of natural disasters in our
areas, Beyond Basics. Both of these worthwhile projects
will utilize the efforts of our entire Chapter.
De Anza Chapter’s territories include all of Imperial,
Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties
of California, and the State of Hawaii. The Chapter is
divided into two (2) Councils and five (5) Life Member
Clubs. The Inland Orange Council covers all of Orange,
Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. The San Diego
Council encompasses all of San Diego and Imperial
Counties. Our Life Member Clubs are geographically
located throughout the chapter territory.
De Anza Pioneers strive to be well known in the
community as volunteers dedicated to provide rewarding
community service experiences and fellowship
opportunities for all while promoting our sponsoring
company, AT&T.
