AT&T Pioneers Light Up Georgia and No Texting While Driving Campaign

AT&T Pioneers of Clayton County along with Jonesboro Mayor Luther
Maddox and EPA Region 4 Dianna Williams will install Compact Florescent
Bulbs and give each resident a goody bag at the Jonesboro Housing
Authority on Thursday August 19th at 11:30am. Mayor Maddox will present
to Pete Meadows AT&T CE&A, Valerie Green GA Pioneers president and
Havanah Bailey Southside Council president with the Proclamation
declaring month of August “LIGHT UP GEORGIA month. East Point Mayor
Earnestine Pittman signed proclamation on Monday August 16 praising
AT&T Pioneers who will be installing Bulbs @ Randall Street Housing in
East Point on the19th for the Seniors at 1:30pm. AT&T Pioneers will install
over 2000 Compact Florescent Bulbs in Georgia this month to low income
Senior Citizens. These 19 watt CFL Bulbs are equivalent of a standard 75
watt incandescent bulb and will reduce the cost of energy to the Citizens.
AT&T pioneers is one of the largest volunteer organization is the US with
active and retired employees working in the communities.
Mrs. Bailey says she will also be asking Mayor Maddox, resident and
employees of the Jonesboro to sign No Texting While Driving pledge form.
This will be Southside Day of Blitz in Clayton County; they will donate Hug A
Bear to Fire Station # 13 and host No Texting while Driving campaign at one
of AT&T work centers.
