AT&T Pioneer Volunteers
Our Mission….

provides volunteer services and charitable contributions to
non-profit groups and others in need. Our passions include
education, helping children and low income families, those
with disabilities, veterans and the elderly. Because we are
committed to do all that we can to help, we strive to
empower our board and our membership to continue to
seek out new opportunities and to come up with fresh
ideas and projects.  We also attempt to spread the news
about the AT&T Pioneers and all that they do.  We
continue to use every opportunity to recruit new members
as well as to drive up involvement.
We know that “many hands make light work”.

The Golden Gate Chapter is of course famous for its
namesake, "The Golden Gate Bridge". The Chapter
consists of three Councils and three Life Member Clubs,
which are made up of active and retired employees of
AT&T. Areas covered by Golden Gate Chapter are the San
Francisco Bay Area and south to San Luis Obispo. San
Francisco Bay Area is commonly known as the Bay Area or
the Bay.  It encompasses the cities of San Jose, San
Francisco and Oakland.  It also includes the smaller urban
and rural areas of the North Bay. Overall, the Bay Area
consists of 9 counties, 6 of which are covered by Golden
Gate Chapter - they are Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin,
San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara.  Counties
south of the Bay Area are Santa Cruz, San Benito,
Monterey and San Luis Obispo. To date the chapter
includes over 13,000 members.
