AT&T Pioneer Volunteers
Welcome to the AT&T Pioneers Indiana Chapter #16
If you're already a member, thanks for what you have
contributed!
If you're not a member, let me share some information with
you on what we've been doing in communities around the
Hoosier State.
In South Bend, we created Easter Baskets for special needs
children.
In Indianapolis, we passed out Gatorade to the thousands of
runners and walkers in the 500 Festival Mini Marathon.
In the Bloomington area, we partnered with local food banks.
In the Evansville area, we partnered with Alex's Lemonade
Stand to raise money for childhood cancer research.
These are just a few examples of what we have been doing
over the past year.
In 2007 our volunteers logged over 97,000 hours of community
service.
We have over 7,000 retiree and employee volunteers, but
there's always room for more!
Your skills, energy and time are welcomed and needed.
Now, you may be wondering how to get involved.
There are a number of ways of find out about community
service projects in your area. You can:
1. Watch for postings in your area
2. Check your email for announcements from
Pioneers-IndianaChapter
3. Check our monthly project calendar on this website
Finally, you don't have to wait to find a project that matches
your interest. If you currently volunteer for a non-profit agency
that could use more helping hands, volunteer to be a project
leader. Perhaps other AT&T employees and retirees share your
interest in that cause. One call to me could be the first step
to creating your own Pioneer project. I can be reached at
317-265-6007 or bd2948@att.com.
Yours in Pioneering
