AT&T Pioneer Volunteers
Welcome to the AT&T Pioneers Kansas Chapter # 62
|
The Kansas Chapter Pioneers are working to make Kansas a better place to live
and work. They strive to improve the quality of life for young children through
delivery of 9-1-1 training, painted playground maps, Power Up to Read, Project
Connect, and beeper Easter egg hunts. They help out the community by
making and supplying Hug-a-Bears, Smart Bears, and heart pillows where
needed and honor all veterans and soldiers with quarterly supply shipments and
cookies sent to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as leading book deliveries, hosting
cookouts, and giving other donations for the local Veterans hospitals and
nursing homes. The Pioneers help sponsor the folks that repair Talking Books
for the blind and CHARM products for the disabled and are always ready to help
fellow Kansan's after catastrophic events such as the Greensburg tornado.
The Kansas chapter is comprised of three councils:
• I-70, covering Topeka and the surrounding area
• Southern, which covers the Wichita area
• Wy-Jo, which covers the eastern portion of Kansas
The chapter, as well as each council, has representatives ready to answer
questions and help with volunteer and community service issues. The Kansas
Pioneers are always ready to give back to the community wherever and however
they are needed.
