OPPORTUNITY FOR EACH CLUB
GRANT SUBMITTAL FOR A PROJECT THAT YOUR CLUB WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT

In the next few weeks I will be placing on our Project Page the information you will need to submit a
Club project for Chapter funding or Chapter funding assistance.  Please discuss with your Club
members some ideas that can be submitted for review.  A committee will review each submittal to
determine if it helps with the Chapter goals for our assistance to help active and lifetime members.

The acceptance and level of funding for Club projects will be determined by the review committee.

This could be the chance your Club has been looking for to
complete a project that can help the community and give the
Pioneers a chance to get our "Hands not just our pocketbook"
involved.
If your club has a project that you would like to get help with partial funding
please prepare a grant request and send to Bonnie Hester at
bh2602@att.com.  Bonnie has a form if you need one.  After submittal of
grant request it will be reviewed by a three person team to determine
feasibility and amount of funding assistance.  This is an opportunity for your
club to do a larger project than you could alone.

Treasure Chest for Back to School
From the voice of a child:
I just wanted to share a sweet story with you about how much your supplies meant to one little girl. A 2nd grader
needed a book bag and all of her supplies. We gave her the book bag decorated the multi colored peace signs
and filled it with supplies from her 2nd grade list. Her teacher gave it to her at the end of the day. She loved it!
Today she brought the teacher a gift that she made to thank her for the supplies. She took a long strand of
large gold Mardi Gras beads. She broke the strand into smaller pieces and made her teacher a bracelet,
earrings, and something that looked like a balloon twisted into a dog to put on her desk. Is that not the
sweetest thing? But it shows how much she appreciated it. Thanks again!
This could be your
space for you club's
latest project or future
project.
Looking toward tomorrow
With the new year upon us it is a time that we can reflect on our progress,
successes, failures and abilities to continue to grow in this new year.
I would like to challenge each member to reach out to those around you and help
them to become involved in a very exciting opportunity to share yourself with your
fellow neighbor.
